Lantern Roofs

When you install a roof lantern into a flat roof it lets light flood in to a room creating a completely different living space with natural light and addition ventilation when constructed with built in roof vents. As well a great views of the sky above and stars at night, they let up to 3 times more light into a room than traditional vertical windows.

They can be installed straight onto a timber up-stand or alternatively fitted on top of 350mm high windows to real give that feeling of a light airy space and dramatic grand appearance.

All our lantern roofs can be fitted with Active Blue self cleaning glass and come with warm edge spacer bars and argon gas to further improve the thermal efficiency. Where you want to get light in to a room but require privacy at the same time we can install obscure glass with various levels of privacy. Whatever style you choose they all come in a wide range of colours from traditional white to the ever more popular anthracite grey and black often specified on many modern extensions and new builds.

This is the third time that we have used Grainger Bower Windows and have recommended their good work to many of our friends. They always finish the installation to a high standard. Steve and Tim both listen to what we need and are both very knowledgeable and always give good advice. Even on an occasion when a window was manufactured in the wrong size, they went above and beyond to sort out a replacement for the next day. My brother in law is an engineer and fussy with tradesman but he also sang their praises. Well done Steve and Tim!

Very happy with the service provided, Steve was very helpful , courteous and professional throughout the enquiry and ordering process - the windows arrived on time as promised and are of great quality - when other companies were unable to supply due to Covid19 GB Windows went out of their way to help. Installation was done by buidlers rather than GB simply ecause they were fully booked and we are in the middle of some buiding work. We are having an extension built soon and have no hesitation in ordering for supply and fit.

We found this company extremely rude and unhelpful when we had issues with our 'whole house' installation. Booked appointments for repairs were missed and owner refused to re-book even though they were the ones who were over an hour late, being extremely rude in the process. Our bi-fold doors also had numerous scratches which they were not prepared to do anything about. We would NOT recommend this company to do anything relating to window/door installation.
